Viksit Bihar 2047: Transforming Infrastructure and Connectivity in Ujiarpur
An in-depth article outlining how railway station modernization, four-lane national highways, and rural electrification are driving double-engine growth across Ujiarpur and Samastipur.
For decades following independence, North Bihar struggled with severe infrastructure bottlenecks. Commuters faced endless delays on narrow roads, rural areas lacked consistent electricity, and railway stations provided minimal passenger facilities. Today, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the double-engine government, Ujiarpur and Samastipur are undergoing a historic infrastructure metamorphosis. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, major railway junctions in our parliamentary constituency—including Ujiarpur and Samastipur—are being modernized into world-class travel hubs. With multi-story terminal buildings, covered platforms, digital display systems, escalators, and roof plazas, local commuters now enjoy travel facilities matching major metropolitan cities. Road connectivity forms the economic backbone of rural prosperity. The construction of new four-lane national highway bypasses connecting Samastipur with Darbhanga and Patna has drastically reduced travel time. Local farmers can now transport perishable crops, dairy yield, and vegetables directly to major commercial markets without spoiling in traffic jams. Furthermore, 100 percent rural electrification, solar-powered street lighting, and piped tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission have elevated the daily living standards of thousands of rural households. As we march toward Viksit Bharat 2047, Ujiarpur stands as a shining model of rapid, inclusive, and modern development.
